Here are some questions that we are frequently asked. More will be added as time goes on.

Answer: Yes we do the majority of our jewelry repairs and stone setting in house. We have a new laser welder that allows us to work on platinum, very delicate jewelry items and even eyeglasses!

Question: Do you repair watches?
Answer: We can perform minor watch repair such as power cell replacement and band adjustments. Any other work such as crystal replacement and internal movement repairs are sent out to our professional watch repair man in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After all, what else is there to do up there?

 
Question:  What is the difference between !4 Karat and 10 Karat gold?

Answer: Good question! Pure gold is 24 karat. Alloy metals are mixed with the gold to give it strength and durability. 14 karat gold is 14 parts out of 24 actual gold content. 10 Karat gold is only 10 parts out of 24 actual gold content. Therefore, 10 karat gold more alloy metals than actual gold. This will make it less expensive but more brittle.
